Dewey Ray Birchfield, 92 of Albany, OH (formerly of Middleport, OH) went to be with his Lord, Tuesday, November 18, 2022, at the Laurels of Athens, Athens, OH.
Ray is the son of the late Noah Ballard and Mirley Bailey Birchfield. Ray retired from Kaiser Aluminum at Ravenswood WV, a member of Harrisonville Presbterian Church, Steelworkers Union Local 5658, and National Rifle Assoc. He also enjoyed hunting, fishing, camping, doing woodworking & carpenter work, and telling a lot of stories about family and friends.
Surviving Ray are his two sons Larry (Ruth Ann) Birchfield and Jeff (Sarah) Birchfield, sister Pauline Leonard, sister-in-law Marie Birchfield, three step children and their families, 2 grandchildren, 5 great grandchildren, 6 great- great grandchildren with many nieces, nephews and friends.
Be sides Ray's parents he was preceded by his wife Mary Birchfield, daughters Patricia and Debbie Birchfield, grandsons Larry Ray and Denis Wayne Birchfield, sister Faye Cotterill, brothers Walter, Howard, and Paul Birchfield.
Services are Tuesday, November 22, 2022, at 1 pm at Birchfield Funeral Home, Rutland, OH with Rev. Robert Austin officiating. Visitation is Tuesday, November 22, 2022, from 11 am till time of services. Arrangements with Birchfield Funeral Home, online condolences @birchfieldfuneralhome.com.
