Raymond R. Combs, 90, of Rutland, OH a life that touched many and will be deeply missed, went home to be with the Lord, Sunday, May 10, 2025, peasefully at home.
Raymond was born Noverber 22, 1934, at Gratis, OH to the late Otto Combs and Chelcie Mae Carpenter-Gabbard-Combs. He was a millwright by trade, attended Rutland Baptist Church, served 30 yrs as a Gratis, OH, Vol. Fireman, 7 yrs as Police Officer of Gratis, OH, member of Eagles, Redman Logde, and NRA.
Raymond is survived by children Chelcie Combs-Stearns, Charles Stearns, Rutland, OH, Otto Combs of Clay City, KY, Douglas B. Combs of Gratis, OH, Byrna R. Combs and Sandy of Wichita, KS, Miles Samuel Combs and Sandy of Camden, OH, grandchildren, great grandchildren, great great grandchildren, and great great great grandchildren.
He was preceded by wife Joy E. Dorsey-Combs, son Russell B. Combs, parents Otto and Chelcie Combs, 5 brothers an sisters-in-laws, 4 sisters and brothers-in-laws and grandson Neil Combs.
There is to be graveside services June 7th, 2025 at 11 am, Fairview Cemetery, Gratis, OH with Otto Combs officiating. In lieu of flowers donations to the American Cancer Society. Birchfield funeral Home Rutland, OH is asisting the family. Online condolences @birchfieldfuneralhome.com.
