Sidney Ray Hayman, 86 of Rutland, OH. Born January 5th, 1939 to the late Harry and Vera (Sawn) Hayman. He went to be with the Lord, Monday, April 14th, 2025 at Riverside Methodist Hospital, in Columbus, OH surrounded by family. He was preceded in death by his parents, his wife of almost 61 years Carol Ann Hayman, a son Steven Ray Hayman, his grandson Evan Ray Hayman, and siblings Vera Mills, Miriom Hrivnak, Harry (Bill) Hayman, Judy Hrivnak, Robert (Bob) Hayman, Jim Hayman, and Jerry Hayman.
He is survived by two sisters Cheryl Knight and Donna (Bill) Nease, a brother George "Buddy" (Tere) Hayman, 4 children Rita Cadle, Trina Lee, Ryan Hayman and Robert (Lindsey) Hayman. 3 grandchildren Amber Lee, Breanna (Damien) Spencer, Chaisty (Nick) Featherston. He was blessed with six great grandchildren Isaiah Day, Hunter Day, Brayden Bartoe, Jasmine Featherston, Adalyn Featherston, Kaiden Featherston and was blessed to been able to meet his great, great grandchild Holden Day.
He has been singing for the Lord since 1957 and the Country Hymntimers, a member of the Country Bluegrass Gentlemen, and also a member of the Common Grounds Church. He worked for 35 years and retired from Constellium (Kaiser Aluminum) Ravenswood, WV. He was a man of faith, dedication, and honesty. He was a hero and role model to his family.
Services are Monday, April 21, 2025, at 2 pm at Birchfield Funeral Home, Rutland, OH with Dennis Moore officiating. Burial to be at Meigs Memory Gardens, Pomeroy, OH.Visitation is from 12;00 am till time of services Monday. Online condolences @birchfieldfuneralhome.com
