Jack Walker Obituary
Jack Ronald Walker, 83, of Lake City, passed away on Monday morning, February 24, 2025 at the HCA Florida North Florida Hospital in Gainesville after a brief illness. He was born in Gallipolis, Ohio on June 11, 1941 to the late Denver A. Walker and Marguerite Hereford Walker. He has made Lake City his home since 2018, moving here from the Ohio area. He served his country in the United States Air Force, and was of the Methodist Faith. He worked as a Licensed Funeral Director & Embalmer for thirty plus years, and did trade embalming for many years. He worked for Williams-Thomas Funeral Home in Gainesville, Sherrill-Guerry Funeral Home, Biggs Funeral Home and Dees-Parrish Family Funeral Home. He was also an Auctioneer for many years. He was affectionately known as a work-a-holic by his family.

He is survived by his loving wife of over 56 years, Lois Ann Walker; sons, Jonathan Roland Walker of Bridgeport, OH and Jeffrey Ryan Walker (Casey) of Lake City; his grandson, Josef Ryan Walker of Lake City; brother, John Roger Walker (Dixie) of Ohio; and his sisters, Mary Thompson (Hank) and Rosalee Rosie Walker all of Ohio. Many extended family members and friends also survive.

A funeral service for Mr. Walker will be conducted on Friday, February 28, 2025 at 3:00 P.M. in the Gateway-Forest Lawn Memorial Chapel. Interment will follow in Forest Lawn Memorial Gardens Cemetery. The family will receive friends for a time of visitation beginning at 2:00 P.M. at the funeral home, prior to the service.
