January 20, 1956 - October 13, 2024

Marjorie R. Ellis, 68, of Syracuse, OH went to be with the Lord on October 13, 2024. Margie was born on Junuary 20, 1956 in Ravenna, OH to Theodore and Joyce Morrow. Margie graduated from Field High School in 1974. She moved to Middleport, OH shortly after graduation and has lived there for the last 49 years.

Margie enjoyed being with friends and family. She split her time between her family in Portage County, OH and her family in Meigs County, OH. She took care of people and was always willing to lend a helping hand to anyone who needed it. She had a big heart and a laugh and smile to match. She enjoyed gardening and working in her multiple flower beds. She enjoyed going to craft shows and making crafts. Margie also enjoyed painting and loved attending Michele Musser's paint classes. She also loved cooking, baking, quilting, crocheting, and sewing. Margie especially loved her dogs and cats, and always had a handful of each.

Margie's loving spirit is carried on by her son, Dale Ellis, JR.; her siblings, Frank Swartz, Tammy Pinney, Tina (Tom) Drurey; her nephews and nieces, Dustin (Sam) DeVaul, Johnny and Ashley Hosterman, Daniel Pinney, Hallie Swartz; her step father Tom Persinger; her sister in law, Virginia Morrow. Preceding her in peace was her loving husband, Dale Ellis, SR.; her father, Theodore Morrow, SR.; her mother, Joyce Persinger; her brother, Ted Morrow, JR.; her niece Danielle Morrow.

Friends and family will be received on Monday, November 4, 2024, from 12:00 PM tp 2:00 PM with a memorial service beginning at 2:00 PM at the Birchfield Funeral Home, 212 Main St., Rutland, OH 45775. Inurmment will follow at Gravel Hill Cemetery, Cheshire, OH.
