Joan Marie Stewart, 92, of Rutland, OH, passed away on Friday morning October 11, 2024 at her home in the comfort of her family and her Lord and Savior, Jesus Christ.

Joan was born September 6, 1932 to Frank and Grace Utsinger. She was a graduate of Rutland High School, class of 1950. On November 1st, 1952, Joan married her soul mate Tom Stewart. They were married 56 years and shared a beautiful life together.

She is predeceased by her parents Frank and Grace Utsinger and her husband Tom Stewart.

Joan is survived by her 3 sons, Bob (Tiffany) Stewart, Bill (Sharon) Stewart, and Larry (Teresa) Stewart. 6 grandchildren Clint (Beth) Stewart, Bobbi-Jo Stewart, Matt (Kelsey) Stewart, Miranda (Kyle) Kernen, Colton (Shellie) Stewart, and Cody Stewart. 10 great-grandchildren Tyson Stewart, Micah Eskew, Paisley Stewart, Kayley Stewart, Emelyn Stewart, Kymber Stewart, Briggson Stewart, Ashlyn Kernen, Aubrie Kernen and
Logan Kernen.

Joan loved to organize family gatherings and was an avid cook. She most enjoyed spending time with her family and friends, gardening and baking. Tom and Joan's home was welcoming to any and all. Joan would often make extra for meals due to Tom always bringing friends by for supper.

Joan and Tom's wisdom, guidance and faith in Christ will forever be a guiding light for their family and friends.

So sorry for your loss. You all had a great set of parents, grandparents. Jodi was a real sweetheart, I was blessed to have been acquainted with. Hang on to the memories, as I will too. The service was sweet and the young man who spoke done an awesome job.
