Harold Lee Whittekind, 73 of Pomeroy, OH obtained his wings, Friday, March 4, 2022 at Ohio State Medical Center, Columbus, OH.
Born November 17, 1948 at Marrietta, OH to the late Woody Woodrow and Phylis Pearl (Kearns) Whittekind. He was a construction labor, an Army veteran of Vietnam, member of American Legion, Racine, OH, Pomeroy Nazarene Church, and Laborer's Union.
Harold is survived by childern Leah Danielle Whittekind, Shawn Lee (Amy) Whittekind, and Daniel Shane Whittekind. Sisters Bettie Farley (Ron More), Marilyn (Jimmy) Snider and Billia Sewell, brothers Donnie (Donna) Whittekind, and David "Bajoe" (Jeanie) Whittekind, ex wife Nancy (Snider) Whittekind Portor, 10 grandchildren, 3 great grandchildren, and many nieces, nephews, and cousins.
Harold was preceded by his parents, borthers Tom "Rex" and Jim "Crow" Whittekind, grandson John Harve Whittekind.
Graveside services are Friday, March 11, 2022 at 3:45 pm, at Rocksprings Cemetery, Pomeroy, Oh with Pastor Steve Blackwell officiating. Visitation is from 2 to 3 pm at Birchfield Funeral Home, Rutland, OH. Online condolences @birchfieldfuneralhome.com.
