Kathryn Lorrine Schartiger, 76, of Middleport, OH passed away peacefully in dad's arms, Tuesday, December 14, 2021, at her home.
She was born August 5, 1945 at Continental Three, PA, to the late James and Ethel Elizabeth Thompson Smith. She formerly worked at Brenfield Nursing Home as a nursing assistant, she enjoyed her family and hunting.
Kathryn is survived by her husband, Carl Eugene Schartiger, daughters Tammy (James) Hammon and Jeanie (James) Nicholas. Grandchildren Kyle (Mary) Gamble, Katie (Cade) Carvier, AnnjeLee (Mark) Sturgis, Tiffany Hammon, Roger Hammon, Bill Hammon, Devin (Darcie) Hendrix, Clelsie (Amy) Hendrix, Autumn (Anthony) Short, and Brandi (Joseph) Reeves, 34 great grandchildren, a sister Susan (Danny) Casey, brothers James (Helene) Smith, Donald Smith, and Bill Smith, and several nieces and nephews.
Besides her parents Kathryn was preceded by brothers and sisters and other family members.
Services are Thursday, December 16, 2021, at 1 pm, at Birchfield Funeral Home, Rutland, OH with James Schartiger officiating. With burial to follow at Gravel Hill Cemetery, Cheshire, OH.
