Betty J. Duddek, 84, of Langsville, OH, formerly of Tunkhannock, PA went to be with her Lord on October 7, 2013, at her daughter's residence following a battle with cancer. She was born on October 25, 1928, in Johnson City, NY, the daughter of the late Cecil and Nellie (Bettenhauser) Harrington. In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her brothers Paul Harrington and Doug Harrington and sisters Dawn Cole and Ruth Getz.

She was known and loved by many for her kind and generous spirit, wouderful hospitality, and spontaneous sence of humor. She was a "mom" and "grandma" to many more than just her own children. She leaves a legacy of love - for her family, for others, and for the Lord.

She is survived by her husband Arthur Duddek, of Langsville, OH, formerly of Tunkhannock, PA; by daughter Faye (Joe) Tillis, of Langsville, OH; son Jeff (Tonya) Duddek of Colorado Springs, CO; and grandchildren Anna and Joey Tillis and Emilee and Jeffrey Duddek.

Local visition will be Wednesday October 9, 2013, from 5 to 8 pm at the Danville Holliness Church, Langsville, Ohio. Arrangement by Birchfield Funeral Home, Rutland, OH. Other services are Saturday October 12, 2013 at 11:00 am at Tunkhannock Pilgrim Holliness Church, Tunkhannock, PA, with visition from 5 to 8 pm at Harding-Litwin Funeral Home. Tunkhannock, PA. Her son Jeff Duddek and Rev. Norman Blowers will conduct the sevices with burial to follow at Sunnyside Cemetery, Tunkhannock, PA. Her own mom died when she was like 14. She had it kinda tough after that. I met her after that. Back when I used to go out. We were at a party and this GIRL was trying to push up on her. She was like I dont like girls. She needed a ride home cuz the girl gave her a ride there, I offered and she was my friend from that moment. And I was her friend. That was ten years ago. She had her kids really soon and kinda lived pillar to post . As the old folks would say. She lived with me and Jaz for a while. She was kinda like a tumble weed, looking for love! She was just starting to get herself together and settle down. She was beautiful on the outside and had a golden heart. She could sang! Im talking sang em under the pew in church. It's sad. She lost her mom and now her kids have no mom.RIP CHEVY!!!

damn ..see how blessed we were with all these grpuos from the 90 s . back in the day ? that just sounds old .to me, it still wasn't all that long ago ..and the music still sounds so fresh ( I was trying not to mention En Vogue and Brownstone in my group rundown earlier, cause it makes me mad that females don't sound like that anymore, or have that kind of unity in the music industry ..I can barely count on one hand any new female soul grpuos out now .or any that are any good for that matter, on the supreme level as En Vogue and Brownstone ..again, DAMN! where has the time gone? We went from Hold On to my lip gloss be poppin' and whatever that give me body song beyonce' is ..I mean, wtf?? I still remember hearing Queen Latifah saying give me body in Come into my House ..oh, I just went back again!
