Cheryl Ann Hawk, 54, of Pomeroy, OH passed away Wednesday July 24, 2013 at Ohio State University Medical Center, Columbus, OH.

Born June 8, 1959 at Gallipolis, OH to Barbara Clark Carr, Blackwater Falls, WV and the late Ernie Roush, Sr. She was a homemaker and attended the Rutalnd Freewill Baptist Church, Rutland, OH.

Cheryl is survived by her husband William Hawk, Pomeroy, OH and son Michael (Melody) Bailey, Long Bottom, OH. Step father Robert Carr, Blackwater Falls, WV, brothers Eric (Angie) Roush, New Haven, WV, and Ernie (Loretta) Roush, Jr., New Lexington, Oh special friend Mary Teaford formerly of Middleport, Oh, 3 grandchildren and one step grandchild.

Besides her father preceded by brothers Jerome and Brian Roush, sister Dawn Roush, 2 nieces Heather and Jennifer Friend.

Services are Monday July 29, 2013, at 1:00 pm at Birchfield Funeral Home, Rutland, OH with Pastor Ed Barney officiateing. A private burial will take place at Hoffman Cemetery, New Haven, WV. The family will recevie friends from 5 to 8 pm at the funeral home. The family ask that lieu of flowers donations be maded to Birchfield Funral Home to help with Cheryl's final expenses. Bill, Sorry to hear of Cheryl's death. Pauline told me that she passed away as Ron told her. She was a fine lady and a wonderful grandmother to Torrie. I just saw her a few weeks before her passing. God Bless and take care. Mariann Hendricks Garry {Buz} Cremeans

This is my first comment on here, and I can't biveele it's in response to THIS ..I'm still in shock that Tony is gone. For those that unfortunately don't know, Hi-Five was THAT group ..I'm from Philly, land of Boyz II Men in the early 90 s and all that .and still, I preferred Hi-Five. I remember being 14 and invited to a special concert they gave at the also- departed Veterans Stadium on a cold day in 1992..screamed my lil' head off lol .it's a shame that people from groups of that era have been lost to us more and more, way before they could see old age .Left Eye of TLC (that doc. aired recently on VH1 brought all the emotion back), lead singers of Intro and H-Town, now the lead of Hi-Five .it's crazy!!! .it also makes me think of people from TV shows I used to watch from that time too for some reason ..Michelle Williams who played Justine on the Cosby Show, who died of stomach cancer a few years ago, Merlin Santana, who was shot to death by his girlfriend in his car (wtf??), and I purposely leave out the solo artists and rappers whom EVERYONE remembers, but let's remember the group members as well, and even the young TV actors ..as someone mentioned, tomorrow is not promised!!! I mean, I was jammin' to this stuff in high school, some of it was once called new jack swing .i must be getting old! Makes me think about all the other groups from the early/mid 90 s .how is kris kross doing? jade? mokenstef? blackgirl? change (the group with the little girls singing tell my why )? pure soul? soul for real? the boys? special generation? troop? riff? another bad creation? am I taking it far back enough? For anyone born after 1985 get on some video search engine or mp3 share and look these folks up, cause radio wont, trust me, it's worth it, what the Power stations used to play ..Radio should set aside a channel for heads like us like they do for the ol' ol' heads and the high-schoolers ..again, Tony R.I.P you keep me looking forward to another day .

YALL I KNOW ALL ABOUT FRANKIE BEVERLY AND MAZE WHEN MY MOM FINALLY GOT OUT OF HER “STRICT” WAYZ, WE USED TO JAM TO DAT ALL DA TIME ALONG WITH AFTER 7, AND GIVIN HIM SOMETHIN HE CAN FEEL, ME AND MY SIS DID KARAOKE TO THAT!, NO ONE MENTIONED SILK, FREAK ME BABY AWWWWWWWWWWW YEAH!Bill Said:It's cool to hang out with you kids & listen to music I was hanigng out with my 13 year old daughter this weekend She went to a teen party at the rec hall they made the parent sit in another room.. The DJ was playing that song by Lloyd You She (my daughter) had NO ideal, that song is a remakeof a OLD song by a group caled Spandeau Ballet True It was a Daddy/Daughter momment It's fun hanigng with your kids.I electric slide with my kids..That's what they will always remember That they could CHILL with their daddy
