Lloyd Edward Dugan, 85, of Rutland, OH. went to be with his Lord, Friday, November 8, 2019 at Holzer Medical Center, Gallipolis, OH.

He was born July 3, 1934, to the late Joseph Perry and Grace Lenora Beekman Dugan in Canton, OH. After serving a tour of duty in the United States Army, he worked as an Equipment Operator for Ohio Operating Engineers and was well-known as an especially skilled crane operator.

Lloyd was known as a man who loved God first and served his church in many roles over the years. his fun-loving nature made him a favorite youth teacher many years ago at Hysell Run Free Methodist Church. At the time of his passing, he attended the Calvary Pilgram Chaple in Pomeroy, OH.

Lloyd is survived by his wife of 63 years Beatrice Fay "Bea" Kennedy Dugan, grandchildren Tamra Kay (Jeff) Johnson, and Tony Ray (Danielle) Dugan; great grand children Kaylee Johnson and Tyson Dugan; a sister Dorothy German, sister-in-law Barbara Dugan and Shirley Johnson, brother-in-law Tim Priddy and Bob Smith; along with several nieces and nephews.

In addition to his parents parents, Lloyd was preceded in death by his son, Marty Edward Dugan; sisters Sandra Sue Little and Shirley Priddy; brothers Lowell Bobb, Jr., Harold, Bob, Larry Darrell and Dick Dugan.

Also left to cherish his memory are "friends who became family"; the Buck and June Dewhurst family.

Services will be held at 1:00 pm on Monday, Novevber 11, 2019 at Birchfield Funeral Home in Rutland, OH with Rev. Mark Nix officiating. Burial to follow at Standish Cemetery, Dexter, OH. Family will receive friends from 11;00 am untill time of services.

The family has requested that, in lieu of flowers, donations be made to the Calvary Pilgram Chaple, 39589 State Route 143, Pomeroy, OH 45769. Online condolences may be sent @birchfieldfuneralhome.com.

I am sorry for your loss. I remember when I would come to visit my dad and my "bonus" mom Robin and him and Be a was always around and he always treated me with kindness and just like I was part of the Dewhurst family which meant his to. Prayers to you all! I know you have comfort knowing he is in heaven celebrating with Buck.
